Resveratrol – 60 minutes and the “French Paradox”
- Heart health and age defying discovery
- Research shows increased testosterone
- Increases Nitric oxide levels
- Helps improve HDL cholesterol and helps lower LDL
Scientists across the country have identified a substance called Resveratrol in the skins of red grapes, other fruits as well as red wine. Resveratrol emerged as the best defense against certain types of free radicals which causes serious complications of hardening and thickening of arteries. Resveratrol’s antioxidant action may help stop free radical damage and opens the arteries by enhancing nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a critical component of heart/artery function. It allows blood vessels to “relax,” which enhances blood flow. Resveratrol may also stop the proliferation of cells in blood vessels that narrow the arteries, and may also keep blood cells from sticking together.
